Healthcare remains one of the most urgent needs within the Olesere community, where nearly 4,000 people rely on a single healthcare facility.
During a past visit by Jens von Gierke, and the team, a minor injury exposed the severe lack of basic medical supplies within the community clinic.
The absence of even basic essentials such as gloves and pain medication highlighted the urgent healthcare realities facing the community.
This experience initiated important conversations that led to action.
Through the generous support of Basecamp Foundation USA and WAVE Children’s Foundation:

- The clinic has been renovated
- Medical equipment has been installed
- Initial medicine supplies have been provided
- Water access has been established for the facility
These improvements represent a major step forward in restoring dignity and improving access to healthcare services within the community.
