Where We Work

Putting Children First: Transforming Lives in Kenya's Marginalized Communities

Our work in Kenya focuses on uplifting the most deprived and marginalized children, ensuring they have the opportunity to survive, learn, and achieve their full potential. This commitment is reflected through various projects tailored to address the specific needs of different communities.

Ole Sere Primary School in the Maasai Mara

Educational Initiative

One such project is at the Ole Sere Primary School in the Maasai Mara. This initiative targets a region known for its rich cultural heritage but also for its educational challenges. Many children in this area face barriers such as limited access to quality education, early marriages, and pastoralist lifestyles that require frequent relocation.

Gender Equality

By providing resources, building infrastructure, and supporting teacher training, we aim to create a stable and conducive learning environment. This project not only improves literacy and numeracy skills but also promotes gender equality by encouraging girls to stay in school.

CGH farmland project in Naivasha

Farmland Initiative

In Naivasha, our efforts are centered around the CGH farmland project. This region, primarily known for its agricultural potential, sees many children who must balance school with labor-intensive farm work. The CGH farmland initiative integrates educational programs with agricultural training, teaching children and their families sustainable farming practices.

Dual Approach

This dual approach not only enhances their educational outcomes but also improves food security and economic stability for the community.

Educational Value

By linking education with practical skills, we help these children see the value of staying in school and equip them with knowledge that directly benefits their daily lives.

Kimbia Leo Marathons in Nanyuki

Marathon Charity Event

Another significant project is the Kimbia Leo Marathons in Nanyuki. These events go beyond being just a marathon; they serve as a powerful platform for raising awareness and funds for children’s education and well-being. Participants from various backgrounds come together, fostering a sense of community and solidarity. The funds raised are directed towards building schools, providing educational materials, and supporting health and nutrition programs. The marathon also promotes physical fitness and highlights the importance of a balanced lifestyle, inspiring children to engage in sports and other extracurricular activities.
